Getting Started with Multi-Factor Authentication

Set Up MFA in 4 Quick Steps

Your Vyne Trellis account is now protected with multi-factor authentication (MFA), adding an extra layer of security when you sign in. After entering your username and password, you’ll verify it’s you with a code sent to your mobile phone or generated by an authenticator app.

All Vyne Trellis applications share one secure sign-in page, so you’ll see the same login experience no matter which feature you’re using. Your username and password stay the same. Only the verification step is new.

** Before you begin**
Make sure you’re on the latest version of the JETT or Remote Lite plugin before starting enrollment — an outdated plugin can prevent the setup screens from loading correctly.

Multi-Factor Authentication Set Up – 3 mins

STEP 1

Log in to Vyne Trellis

Go to Vyne Trellis the way you normally do. You’ll be redirected automatically to the new sign-in page at auth.vynetrellis.com.

  1. Enter your email and password and select Continue.
Note: If your login is connected to more than one location, choose which one you’re signing in to. Don’t see the right one? Click the left arrow to go back and try again

STEP 2

Set up your verification method

  1. The first time you log in, you’ll be asked to choose how you want to verify your identity.

Option A: Use an authenticator app

  1. Select Use an authenticator app.
  2. Open your preferred authenticator app
Example apps for mobile authentication: Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.
Example apps for web-based authentication: KeePassXC, Proton Authenticator, or Authenticator.cc.
  3. Scan the QR code shown on your screen.

Tip: If you’re already using an authenticator app for other services, like a payer portal, we recommend using the same app for Vyne Trellis.

Option B: Get a code by text via mobile phone

  1. Select Text me a code.
  2. Enter your mobile phone number.
  3. Enter the code you receive by text.

STEP 3

Save your backup credentials

  1. Backup codes let you sign in if you can’t use your mobile phone or authenticator app. Store them somewhere safe — each one works only once. COPY & STORE YOUR BACKUP CODES – Backup codes show once during setup. Download or copy and store them before continuing.

STEP 4

Finish enrollment

  1. Enter your verification code and select Continue. You’re set up. Note: From now on, you’ll enter a new code each time you log in.

** If you ever lose access to your device**
If you lose access to your enrolled mobile phone number or authenticator app, don’t try to work around MFA. Contact your practice administrator or Vyne Support to reset your verification method.
